Situated in Harpurhey and its environs, MCA is an 11-16 secondary school with an adjoining primary school. Collaboration between the two is central to our ethos.

The Department:
The Science department at MCA has demonstrated consistent improvement year on year, achieving results significantly above the national average. Our curriculum is designed to challenge and engage students, fostering a lifelong passion for science while delivering commendable academic outcomes.
Collaborative planning ensures a balanced workload and promotes both teacher autonomy and consistency.
Our team comprises dedicated practitioners committed to ongoing professional development. You will join a department that embraces the latest pedagogical developments, supported by a structured CPD program led by our Teacher Educator, an EEF Research School Evidence Lead in Education.
