Rodborough School is seeking a qualified, ambitious, and passionate Teacher of Science to join our Science Department.

Candidates will be excellent practitioners and will have a passion and enthusiasm for the teaching of Science that is evident from their teaching practice to date. They will have a clear understanding of what makes a successful science lesson and will understand the importance of effective collaboration with their colleagues within the department and across the wider school/Trust. The successful candidate will have a passion to teach science, but will also recognise that working as a tutor and supporting the extra-curricular provision is essential when it comes to ensuring our students have the best possible experience during their time with us.

It is an exciting time to join the Science department at Rodborough. Science lessons are taught in the Main Block and our existing laboratories are undergoing a period of refurbishment with our first new Science lab completed over the Summer. The Science team work closely with science colleagues across the Trust, under the coordination of the Trust Director of Science, who provides science teachers across the Trust access to invaluable subject specific professional development. Rodborough has a large cohort of Separate Science students, with over half of the cohort following this route.You will be joining a forward thinking and ambitious department, which under its current new leadership, wishes to develop both the intent and implementation of the science curriculum in order to equip students with the very best education in science.
