Job overview

We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and conscientious Teacher of Singing and Piano. This exciting role offers great opportunities for the successful candidate and a chance to make a difference to some wonderful young people. We are looking for a Teacher of Singing and Piano who:

  • holds an appropriate music qualification
  • has qualifications in maths and English (grade 4 or above at GCSE or equivalent)
  • has experience of working as a singing teacher in a school environment

and will be:

  • Vibrant with high expectations of themselves and students
  • Passionate about learning
  • Caring and patient
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to motivate and enthuse students through a commitment to equal opportunities, regardless of background, Special Educational Needs or prior attainment

Buttershaw Business & Enterprise College is an improving school.  We are an ambitious, community-focused academy of just over 1400 students serving an area of social deprivation on the southern edge of Bradford and seven miles from Leeds.  BBEC is popular locally and is rapidly becoming the school of choice for the community of Buttershaw; we are regularly well over-subscribed in Year 7.
