Job overview

We are a Pupil Referral Unit, including a Hospital Education Service, a Home Tuition Provision and an Outreach Inclusion Support Team. We currently have a vacancy for an innovative, inspirational and experienced Teacher of PE for our Secondary Unit.

#We wish to appoint experienced and motivational teacher to teach PE up to ASDAN,BTEC level, and lead the improvement of the subject areas throughout the school. You will be required to have a history of good to outstanding record of managing pupils with SEMH and ensuring good progress.

This is a particularly demanding role and the successful candidate must be committed to creating a positive learning environment. You will need a high level of resilience and a commitment to working with a team to support vulnerable children.

The ideal candidate will:

 

Have experience, ideally, of working in a PRU, EOTAS or Alternative Provision (though mainstream experience only would be considered) with learners with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs or SEND.

·        Have a passion for their specific area and be committed to achieving high standards in their work and high expectations for behaviour and learning.

      Be flexible, cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff.

·        Be able and willing to form a positive relationship with pupils in order to support their personal and social development in accordance with the school’s guideline

·        Be consistent, calm and a reflective practitioner with a growth mind-set

·        Be able to deliver Quality 1st teaching
