Type: Full Time

Working hours: Monday-Friday 08:30-16:00 with occasional after school meetings or activities as required. Term Time.

Willow Park School is a unique, specialist independent primary school dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN). Our small school prides itself on offering a bespoke curriculum and personalised timetables, ensuring that each child's educational journey is tailored to their individual needs.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, fostering the academic and personal growth of our students. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and managing classroom behaviour effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Teaching and Learning:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with ASD and SLCN.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Planning and Assessment:
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students (based on the needs identified in their Education, Health and Care Plans), in collaboration with other staff and parents.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
