Your role will involve working closely with a team of educators to create an inclusive environment where each child feels valued and motivated to learn.
Your Role: Empower, Support, Inspire!

- Provide individual or small group support for pupils needing extra assistance, ensuring they remain engaged, challenged, and fully included in classroom activities.
- Help plan and implement interventions designed to support students with SEN, overcoming challenges and boosting their learning outcomes.
- Track progress regularly, providing detailed updates to the SENCO and teachers to refine interventions and celebrate success.
- Assist in preparing learning materials, organizing classroom setups, and creating an environment that supports active and hands-on learning.
- Provide positive feedback during lessons to encourage and motivate students to keep progressing.
- Be a key player in activities like Wild Fridays, where students explore creativity and engage in personal projects.
- Support students during school trips, hands-on activities, and outdoor learning, helping to broaden their horizons and nurture emotional growth.
- Support differentiated lessons to cater to a wide range of needs and abilities, ensuring all students can thrive at their own pace.
- Contribute to tracking each student’s progress through tools like Personal Progress Diaries, helping to set and celebrate learning goals.
- Maintain a welcoming, supportive classroom where students feel safe and valued.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating respectful behaviour, empathy, and commitment to the school’s ethos.
- Work closely with teachers, other TAs, and school staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for student success.
- Assist in communicating with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and well-being.
- Help prepare and maintain essential SEND documentation, such as Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), and intervention records.
- Partner with external professionals to ensure each child’s needs are met with the highest level of support.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
- Make a real difference in the lives of young children, helping them build a strong foundation for future learning.
- Work in a creative and nurturing environment, where your contributions are valued, and teamwork is at the heart of everything we do.
- Gain valuable experience in education, with plenty of opportunities for ongoing professional development to enhance your career and skill set.
- Be part of a school that celebrates diversity, creativity, and a holistic approach to learning, ensuring every student has the chance to shine.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for working with young children and a strong desire to support their learning and development.
- Experience or interest in working with children with SEN or in a primary school setting is a plus.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the varied needs of students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the well-being of all students.

About Atelier 21 Future School
Atelier 21 is a pioneering school, designed to offer an education fit for children’s futures. Based in Broadfield Park, Pease Pottage, West Sussex, the school is the UK’s first Reggio Emilia inspired, enquiry-based learning Future School for children aged 4-16 years.
Our school is creating a stir in the educational landscape for its trailblazing approach to education which focusses on teaching children ‘how to think, not what to think.’ Its aim is to make learning more relevant, meaningful, and joyful.
The children at Atelier 21 have a democratic say in the running of the school and this shows in the revolutionary culture which nurtures mutual respect between adults and young people, hence no school uniform and pupils call the teachers by their first names.
Our school is committed to excellence in education and innovation. We are dedicated to shaping the future by empowering our students with the skills, learning powers, and
‘flex-pertise’ they need to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
