We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with the passion and commitment to join this high achieving, friendly and successful staff team. Ricards Lodge High School is an outstanding, successful and vibrant multi-cultural comprehensive school for girls with a co-educational Sixth Form. The roles includes:

  • Supervise and provide support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their access to learning resources
  • Work as a part of a team for the benefit of the pupils in the class
  • Support the implementation of school plans and assessments
  • Establish rapport and respectful, trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
  • Ensure pupils’ safety and well being
  • Promote self-esteem and independence amongst pupils, employing strategies to recognise and reward self-reliance

About Ricards Lodge High School

Ricards Lodge High School is a girls-only, comprehensive secondary school with sixth form situated in Wimbledon, south-west London. It is a community state school and was known as The Wimbledon Day Commercial School when it opened in 1924.

A larger than average secondary school, Ricards Lodge provides 1,200 places for students between the ages of 11 and 19 when fully subscribed.

Ricards Lodge High School has a specialism in the performing arts and has gained the Artsmark Gold Award. The school believes that the risk-taking nature of the arts helps to increase self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as improving students' attitudes to learning.
