We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant on a 1:1 basis to support pupils with SEND and assist with personal care responsibilities. The contract on offer is fixed term until 31/08/2025 based on funding, and the hours are full time (Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week).


Key responsibilities:

Reporting to Deputy Senco, Phase Lead or Headteacher, this post holder will be accountable for:

  •  Supervising and providing particular support for identified pupil(s) with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  •  Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
  •  With appropriate training, to meet the specific medical needs of identified pupil(s) during the school day.
  • Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses.
  •  Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.



Pay range:

NJC Scale Range 2-5 plus Inner London Allowance (£26,366 - £27,500 with allowance included)

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience
  • GCSE Maths & English grades 9-4 (A-C)
  • Knowledge of school standards and procedures or willingness to train
  • Experience of supporting the social, emotional and educational development of students
