Job overview

8am to 4pm • Monday to Friday during term time and four weeks during school holiday time

Hoe Bridge is thriving independent school for girls and boys aged 2 to 16. Having recently opened a new senior school, we’re looking for a capable Transport Planner to take charge of transport operations. You’ll join us at exciting point in our history as we expand and grow. With you as part of our team, supporting staff and pupils, we can look to the future and excel.

As Transport Planner, you’ll plan, manage and coordinate all passenger transport operations for Hoe Bridge School. It means planning complex logistics, managing our fleet of minibuses and developing the transport database using your knowledge of MS Office and analytical skills.

Your work will bring you into contact with school staff, parents, drivers and coach operators, so you must be professional and courteous. With your impeccable standards of customer service, you’ll make sure operations go smoothly at all times.

In effect, you’ll be an ambassador for the school, using your excellent communication skills to deal with any situation. Calm and confident, you’ve worked in a similar role before within a school environment. With this background, you’ll understand the importance of good organisation, collaboration and teamwork. If you also possess a clean driving licence with a D1 entitlement and have driven 9 and 17 seater minibuses, both with and without pupils, we’d like to hear from you.

Join us, and you’ll be part of a dynamic school community whose vision is to encourage every pupil to achieve their true potential through a broad, challenging and diverse curriculum. Apply now and become part of our dedicated team.

This is a full time role working the hours of 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday during term time and four weeks during school holiday time, with days to be agreed depending on work requirements.

Hoe Bridge School is an independent co-educational Pre-Prep and Prep school for children 3 to 16 years old.

Our foremost aim is to provide your child with the best preparation for senior school and beyond, with an excellent all-round education and strong ethos of respect, enthusiasm and determination to be the best they can in everything they do. Inspirational teaching, care and leadership abound, ensuring a vibrant and dynamic school community which supports the best possible learning and development.

Within a stunning, safe setting combining historic buildings and new leading-edge facilities, our school is nestled in 22 acres of beautiful countryside just outside Woking, Surrey and is only 25 minutes from central London.

We have a special community with a passionate belief in fostering the core school ethos of Happiness, Confidence and Achievement. Parents forge a strong relationship with a school that is dedicated to the individual development of each child, giving them a deep-rooted love for learning, in an enthusiastic and engaging environment. Visitors comment on the vibrant energy and happy faces that they see throughout our school.

We are passionate in the belief that the role of educators is to provide a wide-ranging framework in which children can grow and develop creatively in a continually changing and often unpredictable world. We have an unwavering commitment to empowering those within our community: inspiring, challenging and motivating both children and adults in all that we do. We have an environment, from Nursery through to Year 8, which grows and adapts, allowing all children to learn and understand from their many different strengths. Empathy and caring for others are our principal values, which are intrinsic within our ideology and shown in the special qualities within our community. Each child is known and valued for who they are. There is never a dull moment nor is there time to be bored and the children are proud to call Hoe Bridge their school.

The School has an extremely good reputation not just in the local area but county wide as well. There is a real energy throughout to preserve the family atmosphere, to constantly strive to improve results and explore all the possibilities available to enrich both the School and the lives of the children.
