Trustee
Voluntary Role
Are you looking to shape and improve Children’s Education?
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals and somebody with new ideas and a fresh perspective to join our committed and friendly board.
Cotswold Beacon Academy Trust (CBAT) is a thriving partnership of schools with a strong collective identity that work together to generate and celebrate success.
We are ambitious for our students and staff. Together we raise aspirations, inspire excellence and tackle disadvantage in an educational environment in which everyone is valued and given the challenge and support necessary to thrive and achieve their utmost potential. Being a trustee is a hugely rewarding form of voluntary work.
Trustees make a real difference to our students, pupils and our local community by actively contributing to the success of our academy. As strategic leaders of the academy trust, it is vital that the Trust board is connected with and engages the communities and stakeholders it serves.
We would like to hear from people with a range of diverse skills and experiences. In particular, we welcome applications from people with experience in:
• An understanding of the education sector and the ability to contribute to the strategic
vision and direction of academy would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as the ability to challenge and support the leadership effectively.
• A commitment to promoting the ethos and values of the Trust and contributing positively to its development.
• Experience in either audits, financial management, corporate governance, legalities and
compliance or human resources.
Becoming a trustee can also be good for your career. Holding a position on a board of any kind tells prospective employers that your skills and experience are highly valued. It marks you out as a leader in your field, whether that’s in HR, marketing, finance or any other area. By joining the board of an educational organisation, you are directly contributing to the future success of hundreds of children.
If you’re passionate about education, then becoming a board member is a great opportunity to drive change in this sector – we will provide you with support and guidance in your journey from our experienced trustees.
If you’d like to know more about the role and how you can apply, email Kim Wilson CEO on email KLW@cbat.academy
