Job Overview:
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Middle School and High School Visual Arts Teacher with expertise in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MVP). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive Visual Arts education to our students, managing the budget and procurement of resources for Visual Arts, overseeing and leading extracurricular Visual Arts activities, and facilitating Visual Arts trips, events, and opportunities within the school and the community.
Purpose, Duties & Responsibilities:
- To deliver engaging whole class lessons and further develop the IBO MYP-DP curriculum.
- To further build the status and quality of work of Visual Arts within the school and wider community.
- To contribute to experiential and extra curricular learning opportunities to inspire and extend our students.
- To collaborate with the Arts team in further building a department that is fully engaging and inspiring for our student body.
- To contribute to the pastoral care of our students by taking on the role of an advisor for student groups.
- To contribute to the safeguarding of our students through duties and cover responsibilities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Art education and the IB program.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification and/or relevant licensure.
- Experience in IBO MYP & DP Visual Arts.
- High level of personal artistic skill.
- UK experience in teaching IGCSE and A Level Art also considered

Skill set:
Drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, digital design, graphic design, printing, strong knowledge of various art mediums, techniques, and art history and practitioners, experience as a DP Visual Arts examiner of benefit, experience of supervising Visual Arts Extended Essays of benefit, communication & collaborative skills, time management, budget management, management of resources, leadership skills, problem solving, creative thinking and basic Spanish Language. Skill, experience or interest in teaching an MYP Film class. This would be only if the candidate would like to explore this teaching opportunity in addition to their Visual Arts classes.
