THE JOB
· To plan and deliver an inspiring curriculum that enables all pupils to make good progress, enjoy and
achieve, ensuring all learning builds towards a defined end point.
· To plan, develop and deliver an alternative programme of work specifically tailored to meet the needs of identified pupils, in order to develop their literacy, numeracy, social skills and emotional wellbeing, and ensure that they achieve their full learning potential. This programme can include internal and external learning activities.
· To ensure that the alternative programme of work includes activities designed to meet the curriculum for the core subjects (eg Maths, English) and that these activities enable all pupils to make good progress, enjoy and achieve, and build towards a defined end point.
· To be responsible for completion of relevant documentation such as assessment, referrals and transition plans.

THE PERSON
• Recognised teaching qualification
• A passion for working with pupils with SEN and a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties
• The ability to deliver lessons that are informative, interesting and inspiring
• A dedication to positive behaviour management
• You will be required to transport pupils so you must be able to drive and have access to your own car

WORKING HOURS
Full-time | 8 hours per day Monday to Friday between 8.15am and 4.45pm, specific hours to agreed upon offer.
SALARY
£25,410 - £29,190 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience

Our Silverstone school is an independent special school for pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Our pupils often have histories of disrupted education including low attendance and/or exclusion from mainstream education. Many have special educational needs including social, emotional, mental health difficulties. Some have additional difficulties and specific learning difficulties including dyslexia, social communication difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism and Tourette’s syndrome.
We support our pupils to fulfil their potential by giving them unconditional support, providing them with good quality teaching and empowering them to effectively manage their own behaviour.
Our staff team work together to build and maintain positive professional relationships with all pupils, treating each pupil with tolerance and respect. Protective Behaviours and THRIVE principles underpin the curriculum to support the social and emotional development of our students delivered by our dedicated wellbeing team.
