Job overview

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Engineering workshop specialist with industry and classroom experience to join the School of Engineering. The post holder will teach on a range of programmes, including Level 1 to Level 3, as well as on our new T-Level in Toolmaking Technologies. Alongside these programmes, the post holder will also play an active role in ensuring that quality assurance is underpinned at every stage of a learners journey.  


The successful applicant will have:


• HNC level Engineering qualification and/or significant industrial experience in the field

• Relevant Level 4/5 teaching qualification (or committed to work towards in line with contractual requirements)


It is desirable that applicants will have: 


• Degree in an Engineering discipline

• Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or equivalent

• Level 3 Assessor Award or equivalent 

• Qualification in Computer Aided Design.
