Job overview

Are you an experienced and ambitious teacher looking for a new opportunity?

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and ambitious Year Five Form Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join our team for January 2025. This role will be offered on a fixed-term basis starting in January 2025 and ending in August 2025.

We believe that learning should be an exciting journey, and all aspects of school life are tailored to ensure that the boys’ natural curiosity and eagerness to learn are harnessed in these formative years.

The boys start at our Pre-Preparatory School, where they spend four happy years before moving seamlessly on to the Prep School at eight years of age. A handful of boys leave at 11+, with the great majority moving on to some of the country’s most prestigious boarding and day schools at 13+. Both the Pre-Prep and Prep schools have the same values and ethos, and, by running as two schools, we are able to create age-appropriate systems and structures so that the boys are properly nurtured and challenged throughout their time with us.

The staff at Eaton House The Manor is made up of bright, passionate and experienced educators, who promise to be ambitious for your children, to be their guides and supporters, and to offer the very best in pastoral care. Working together, we encourage boys to strive and persevere to be their best selves and to develop into well-rounded young men, respectful of each other and aware of their responsibilities.

Our aim is to provide boys with the best education possible, empowering them to meet their next destination successfully, whether that is a top London school such as Westminster, St Paul’s or Dulwich College, or a boarding school outside London, such as Eton, Tonbridge or Radley.

Successful candidates may be contacted prior to the application deadline date.

When completing the application form please ensure that the form is completed in full. Incomplete reference sections, education history or employment history sections may result in your application being disregarded.

Applicants that are shortlisted for interview will be subject to online checks, including a search of social media platforms.

A completed application form should be submitted via the TES jobsite or sent by email to the HR Assistant, Amelia Smallwood (Tel: 0207 924 6000; email: asmallwood@eatonhouseschools.com)

Eaton House is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the DBS.

Recruitment procedures will be reviewed regularly to ensure that individuals are treated on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities. Eaton House Schools welcomes applications from all and does not discriminated based on nationality, race, age, religion, belief, gender, disability, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic.
