Have these ready-made reflection resources ready to use after any assessment, homework task or any task you wish the students to reflect on. At the start of the term, print off multiple copies of each resource and have them ready in your classroom so they can be used at any point.

This booklet contains 18 science investigations that students could complete at home or in school throughout the term. The investigations are simple and designed to be student led. They could be completed individually or as a group.

This bridging booklet has been designed to help students have the best
possible start to IB Chemistry. It contains the bare minimum of
what is expected of them to know before they start the IB course. It could be used as a homework booklet or use in lessons at the start of the term.

A set of 16 unique ready-made challenge cards that you can use to stretch your students thinking once they have finished their other tasks. These challenge cards aim to encourage independence, encourage deeper thinking, encourage students to make links between topics/learning and ultimately save you planning time. If a student finishes a task, simply reach for a challenge card and let them explore. All you need to do is print off a set of challenge cards, cut them out and laminate them. Keep them somewhere handy in the classroom when a student is ready, you can quickly give them a challenge card to complete. The challenge cards can be used with any subject and any year group. What’s not to love!!

This resource will help you organise your students into different groups.

For example, students can be arranged into ‘Rainbow Groups’ (mixed ability) and ‘Colour Groups’ (similar ability) seamlessly, allowing you to provide effective differentiation, support and challenge.

Each student receives their unique card with a specific colour, shape, number and letter. The teacher assigns each student a card based on their ability.

For example, if an activity requires students to work in mixed ability groups the teacher would ask students to get into their Rainbow Groups. If a teacher wanted students to complete different tasks or receive different amounts of support/challenge, then working in Colour Groups would be effective.

This resource contains 16 suggestions of activities/strategies you could do with your learners to ensure they are reflecting on your feedback, closing the loop and demonstrating how they are moving forwards with their learning.

This resource contains every experiment from the Edexcel iGCSE Chemistry course (Double award). This resource is designed to help students revise Chemistry by applying their knowledge and understanding to practical chemistry. This resource includes questions about practical methods, identifying apparatus, anaylsing data, drawing graphs and writing conclusions, as well as testing a students understanding of the key concepts.

This super fun and engaging Chemistry resource contains 4 activities that you and your students can enjoy using the Guess Who boards. My students love it!

The activities are a combination of teacher led and student led. Each activity contains opportunities for extension and suggestions on differentiation. The activities are suitable across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

If you do not have a set of boards, no problem! The activities can still be used by printing and laminating sets of the element cards.

This booklet contains all of the Chemistry practicals from the Edexcel specification (although it is still very applicable and useful for other exam boards)

This resource contains 21 model answers from topics that come up frequently on the exam papers. They are all scrambled up so students need to unscramble the text, identify the key marking points and then turn the text into a suitable picture/diagram/equation. The idea is then they can use the picture/diagram/equation to try to recall the text as a revision activity.

This resource contains different worksheets that you could use with your students to demonstrate that they are making progress throughout the lesson. I have laminated a class set and just randomly hand them out for students to use - that way they get variation from lesson to lesson.

This resources contains 24 ideas on what your students could do to help them prepare useful revision resources. These can be used and modified with any year group and subject. Each classroom could have a class set displayed on the wall or laminated cards for students to select.

This resource contains little 5 minute activities for students to do as part of their Chemistry revision. It has been made using the Edexcel iGCSE Chemistry specification and all activities are chunked into the main topic areas: Principals of Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. A suggested way to use the resource is to ask students to complete the activity and then colour code the task red, amber, green based on their confidence. This will help them to sort out which areas of the course they need to focus on the most. Another way to use the resource is using the Brain, Book, Buddy, Boss strategy.
