Grouping Data Worksheet

(27)

I put together a worksheet using questions from the MyMaths KS3 1C and Key Maths 8^3 (revised) textbooks. The books themselves are sparse, so I decided a worksheet is more practical and easier.
The questions selected are such that they get progressively more demanding in terms of selecting class intervals and the type of data.

Included is a main worksheet (with a challenge question) and the answers for both worksheet and challenge question.

I hope this helps!

Hayden Pullum

Doubled sided number search and word search sheet for KS3 for around that Christmas period.
Contains a number and a word search on each side; Side 1 is 'number' themed with terminology and some sums to complete, Side 2 is 'decimal' themed with terminology and some decimal problems to solve.
Hope this helps around the hectic, festive period!

Translations (KS3) - Examples, Exercise & Challenge

I’ve have thrown together a set of examples, exercise questions and a challenge sheet for pupils to practice translating shapes. I have found the examples, exercise questions and challenge sheet from other teachers, but I have put them all together in one easily accessible PDF document (and publisher, in case you wish to make any changes).
I am in no way taking credit for the design of these questions, I have just altered their appearance and format so they can be readily used.
Any feedback will be welcomed, I just hope this will be useful for others!

Trigonometry Flow Chart Wall Display

Attached is a flow chart display I made based off a picture on Google for my classes to help determine whether they need to use Pythagoras’ Theorem, right-angled trigonometry, Sine/Cosine rule or the Sine rule for area.

The flow chart comes with a variety of arrows (since I decided some needed to be longer) but you can see from the picture of the wall display which of the arrows I used. It’s mainly down to be being able to spread it out neatly on the wall.

I have attached the PDF document, the Publisher document (in case you want to make changes) and a picture of the wall display up so you can see how it should look.

Any feedback welcomed!

Disney's 'Up'-themed Compound Shapes Activity

Attached is a floor plan for both the ground and 1st floor of the Ellie & Carl Fredricksen Residence from Disney's 'Up' (pictures taken from Google). I have added measurements so that pupils can use their knowledge of compound shapes to find the missing sides and ultimately work out the perimeter and area of the rooms in the house (I have also added the publisher version, should measurements like to be altered). From here, they can use the additional activity of determining how much it will cost them to decorate certain rooms.

I would recommend using this with high-ability KS3 classes (but you may use it however you like!).

I hope this proves to be useful/fun for your classes.

Enjoy, and please leave feedback if you can!

H.Pullum
