All about materials booklet aimed for use within KS3, GCSE and A-Level design and technology. Forms the basis of a workbook for students to fill in and become a revision tool. Looks at material classification, material properties, finishes, some manufacturing and stock forms. <br /> Looks into wood, metal, plastic, manufactured boards, composites, smart materials, new materials and textiles. Will be using with the new GCSE particularly for students to research materials and their properties. They will make notes of these.

<p>Design a destination shoe project<br /> Students are to pick somewhere in the world and design a shoe based on it.<br /> They must research the different landmarks, colours and images first.<br /> This powerpoint guides students through the whole project including learning objectives, tasks, examples and some ‘just for fun’ quizzes.</p> <p>This will be fine to set as a home learning task / project.</p>

<p>Design development prompts based on the SCAMPER concept.<br /> Useful to laminate and use within lessons.<br /> Helpful for yr7 right through to A-Level within development work in design.</p>

<p>A3 isometric drawing task sheet.<br /> Helps students to begin to understand the basics of isometric drawing.<br /> Also had shading techniques on the bottom to then be drawn onto the shapes.<br /> Works great as part of art, graphics, d&amp;t, cover or home learning.</p>

2 x A3 brand identity sheets<br /> This have been slightly adapted for LA students with tips at the bottom. <br /> <br /> Useful for branding products or as a extension task when students have finished making their practical work. <br /> <br /> I get students to bring in logos for homework and then stick them onto the sheet to explain their strengths and weaknesses before coming up with their own designs.

<p>2 x differentiated simple homework to help students to gain practice marking out materials on paper before they actually do it during the lesson.<br /> The higher worksheet also introduces students to tolerance and gives them questions to work out whether a product would pass or fail a tolerance test.</p> <p>This homework could be used for KS3 Design &amp; Technology. It also includes maths which suits the new style of the GCSE D&amp;T.</p> <p>There is a word version of worksheets and a PDF version of each.</p>
