<p>Lesson 3 – Locate specific UK cities quiz. Pre-test. Annotate the UK map with the lace names and data. Extension – describe the patterns on the map. Shade in the Burgess model and match the characteristics with the specific parts of the city. Use the key words to complete the gap fill and label the diagram with problems that can be experienced in some parts of the city. Complete the word association grid using the slides then after watching the video summarise why North London was in need of regeneration. Post Test.</p>

<p>All information is based on the new AQA Geography GCSE 1-9 exam. Paper 1 Section B ‘The Living World’ has been split into a 17-page information booklet. The Case studies used are Sherwood Forest in Nottingham (Local ecosystem), the Amazon rainforest (Tropical Rainforest) and Alaska (Cold environment)</p>

<p>Lesson 6 – Cut up and match up the dominoes, then use them to complete the storyboard. Highlight the text with Nottingham’s links (Regional, National, International). Use the highlighted text to plot Nottingham’s links on the (A3) map. Complete the annotations to the population pyramids and answer questions about Nottingham’s pyramid. Complete the data to create pie charts to represent the population of Nottingham.</p>

<p>6 pages of easy to interpret research notes on the wider analysis of the area potentially affected by the proposed reservoir and alternative Thames Water proposals to reduce water stress in the South. The information can be directly printed off and given to pupils or used as base-knowledge for worksheets and/ or powerpoints.</p>

<p>Lesson 8 – Ask peers to guess the best things about Nottingham. Produce an A3 poster to illustrate the opportunities in Nottingham. 10 question Knowledge checker. Categorise the impacts of Nottingham’s trams and of the cycling developments.</p>

<p>Lesson 7 – Knowledge checker questions. Pre Test. Annotate Nottingham’s Ward data onto the map. Read through the paragraph and highlight 15 key words an then re-write the article using the key words. Read through the paragraph and explain the views of different stakeholders. Use the weblinks to produce a report about the problems in Nottingham. Post Test.</p>

<p>Lesson 5 – Scrabble Board. Pre Test. Label the image with inputs and outputs. Read through the paragraph highlighting key words. Use the coloured map to shade in specific countries that have an ecological deficit/reserve. Illustrate each bullet point fact about the East Village. Post Test</p>

<p>Lesson 2 –10 question recap quiz. Label the cartoon with the problems of rapid urbanisation. Extension – draw your own cartoon. Read the text about Mumbai and highlight the links Mumbai has (Regional, National, International). Extension – underline the key words. Watch the documentary and complete the 4 sections of the worksheet.</p>

<p>Lesson 4 – Cut out the statements and re-arrange into a flow diagram then copy into the box. Categorise the issues around the Stratford site into social, economic and environmental. Using the A3 sheet, explain how 8 of the developments can benefit the area in the future.</p>

<p>Lesson 1 - Use the data to create line graphs to illustreate how urban populations in HICs, NEEs, LICs have changed over time. Answer questions to describe and explain the patterns on the graph. Use an atlas to plot on the megacities. Read through the reasons why cities grow and illustrate them in the storyboard. Extension task - match up the key words to the definitions.</p>
