Revision sheets for the Quality Street and This Girl Can adverts, the magazines (Raheem Sterling) and the Bond film posters (No Time to Die) from the Eduqas GCSE Media component 1 exam. These sheets, designed to be printed on A3, have been made to aid students in revising these products. There is a Total Recall task to test the students on their knowledge of the product. The context table asks students to make a context point and then explain how this is seen in the product/how the product has been influenced by that context point and prepares them for question 2a. The 2b comparison question prep asks students to make a table, encouraging them to plan before attempting the question (which my students always seem to ignore!) There is a table to help students revise their knowledge of media language, where they are required to make a point about the product’s design and what that connotes for question 1.

A series of 8 lessons, building descriptive writing skills using extracts of well known heroes and villains, culminating in students writing their own description of a hero or villain including peer/self assessment and close the gap task to end. This was originally created for mixed ability y7 classes on transition prior to being put into sets.

A viewing booklet for ‘The Joker’ - one of the new films added to the Eduqas A level film specification. The booklet breaks the film down into sections where students can focus their notes on specific areas of film form, representations, ideology and spectatorship. There is a page for students to add definitions for key words as well as signifiers for key scenes. This is specifically for component 1 section B, American Film.
