<p>The project covers basics skills, artist and designer research, observational drawing, designing and production of a 3 dimensional final piece.<br /> This is a complete Power-Point giving outlines for each lessons, exemplar material of both artists and students work, as well as homework/extension activities including a photography element.<br /> Skills covered are one point and two point perspective.<br /> Students research iconic architecture from around the work, both historic and contemporary.<br /> The will conduct observational illustrations from local architecture.<br /> Research the architecture and designs by Spanish artist Gaudi and Austrian Hutterwasser<br /> Students are given the opportunity to design and make a 3 Dimensional final piece to illustrate the skill and and research they have done.</p>

<p>This is a full booklet, looking at nets. The booklet has been designed in the style of an action hero comic. The booklet can therefore be used as an extension activity for the student to complete the look of the comic using colour and their own design flair.<br /> The project works through the design of a net action character and its packaging. Students are introduced to different font and illustrative design techniques. The projects allows them to develop their own individual style and incorporate it into their design work.<br /> Students will learn how to create, fold and produce nets that make a 3D figure and its packaging.<br /> Please look at the free booklets that I have published so you can gain an idea of the content and detail put into my booklets. <p>Students will have a look at the basic elements of a pop up card. They will learn how to evaluate a product by looking at the individual aspects of the product.</p>

<p>Lesson 2 Pop-Up Card Project<br /> Scale drawing<br /> Areas covered in this lesson:-</p> <ol> <li>Understanding how to use grid co-ordinates to help plan an illustration</li> <li>Students will learn how to use a simple grid and scale to enlarge an illustration.</li> <li>Students are given the opportunity to select the image for their ability range.</li> <li>Students will start to develop skills in basic rendering techniques.</li> </ol>

<p>Students will use the acronym ACCESSFM to help them to formulate a basic specification for their product. They will look at each aspect of a product and outline their intention for the product that they are going to design and make.</p>

<p>Lesson 5 Pop-Up Card Project<br /> Product Evaluation<br /> Areas covered in this lesson:-</p> <ol> <li>Creating 3D illustration.</li> <li>Using block tone to 3D effect on illustrations</li> <li>Writing a basic evaluation to identify a products strengths and weaknesses.</li> </ol>

<p>Lesson 3 Font Design<br /> Areas covered in this lesson:-</p> <ol> <li>Creating a wide variety of unique font designs, to encourage students to experiment with ideas and not become to focused on a single idea.</li> <li>Use of colour to create ideas.</li> <li>Be able to evaluate the work of others by looking at exemplar work from previous students</li> </ol>

<p>Lesson 4 Pop-Up Card Project<br /> Colour Wheel<br /> Areas covered in this lesson:-</p> <ol> <li>Students learn about Primary, Secondary and Tertiary colours.</li> <li>Develop skills in blending colour.</li> <li>Categorize colour groups</li> </ol>

<p>Students create a detailed task analysis in the form of a spider diagram.<br /> There is a detailed explanation of each discussion point with prompts to help students formulate responses.</p>

<p>Students look at why health and safety are important in the workshop, and the risks and safety rules of the equipment that they need to make their product The look at how to create a step by step plan of how to make their product.</p>

<p>Students take a brief look at products that have been redesigned during their history. Students then evaluate their own product to determine its success. They use basic quality control checks to peer assess work.</p>

<p>A look at how designers use inspiration from sources to generate ideas.</p>

<p>Students draw 3 dimensional design ideas of how they want the inside of the card to work.</p>

<p>Students use template sheet to create 4 design ideas for the front of a greetings card. Students look at a variety of different occasions to celebrate. Links to different languages and celebrations.</p>

<p>Students watch a video of a Pop Up Book made by the designer they are going to research. They then watch an interview with the design where he describes his work and the inspiration for it.<br /> Students are given a checklist for their research and go through an example before doing and writing up their own research.</p>

<p>Using the templates from the back of the workbook. Students will create a small number of pop up model cards in paper. There are YouTube videos to demonstrate how to make each model.</p>

<p>A complete project to create a 3D sea-life sculpture.<br /> This is a complete project. There is a suggested weekly plan of lessons. Each lesson has a full instruction slide to help students orgainise their work. Slides showing exemplar student work, examples to ilustrate how each task should be tackled by the students. There is also template sheets, homework and assessment sheets at the end of the presentation.<br /> Students will learn key drawing and rendering skills. Observe the work of Ernst Haeckel, research aboriginal art and conduct observational studies of shells.<br /> As part of the projects students will have the opportunity to develop key mark making and rendering techniques, discuss and explore their ideas, create observational studies of the work of other artists &amp; traditional techniques used in other countries, they will generate artwork of their own based on the observations that they have done and finally create a 3D final piece of work to showcase the research, skills and observations that they have carried out.</p>

<p>This workbook is a complete project of work, starting with key skills tasks, going through the design process including modelling of ideas from templates at the back of the workbook. <p>Students gain an understanding of the basic principles regarding sustainability.<br /> They work through identifying logos associated with recycling.<br /> Develop an understanding of the criteria of the 6R’s - Reuse,reduce, recycle, rethink, refuse and repair.<br /> Students then use this information to work out if each of the 4 example face masks are sustainable.</p>
