Designed for Safer Internet Day 2018.

The theme is online / technology addiction. Certainly a problem and topical issue in many schools. This presentation focuses on our growing dependency of smartphones, and the negative effects it can have. I found the topic to be thought provoking and a different angle on the usual risks / dangers resources we often use.

This resources is a 15 minute Presentation, well suited for KS3/ KS4 assemblies and tutor activities. I’ve added guidance and question prompts to the slide notes throughout.

This resource has been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow. The resources are fully editable (so easy to adapt for your school).

The video linked is not a purchasable resource, I do not own the copyright for this. It is freely viewable through YouTube. If time is available in your assembly / tutorial then I would recommend showing.

“At Nationwide our members have a voice. While we think technology and the online world are amazing, they shouldn’t become the way we do everything. In this poem, ‘Face to Face’, SugarJ Poet explains it better than we ever could.”
