<p>Dilemma led learning - children are presented with a dilemma and invited to test materials to compare suitability for a knights armor.</p> <p>This can be made more open / free depending on children’s experience of carrying out tests. As this was one of the first tests my class had carried out it is very structured.</p> <p>By providing the children with a range of materials and a blank worksheet, this can be made more open for children to choose and explore.</p> <p>Flip chart and differentiated worksheet included.</p>

<p>2nd part to testing materials.</p> <p>Children must write recommendations to the king and justify these using the results from their test.</p> <p>When carrying out this lesson, I used padlet where children recorded their recommendations and “sent them to the king” by uploading them onto the padlet.</p> <p>This padlet was also used in the previous lesson where the children recorded and uploaded the tests their carried out. This provides opportunity to reflect on their tests and whether they were fair / unfair.</p>
