Unit 4 Research in H&SC - Ready to teach (whole unit and 4 booklets for each exam question)

This is a great resource if you are new to teaching unit 4 (BTEC National/Extended Diploma in H&SC) or want to improve your results. I have taught unit 4 for many years and my students have always achieved high merits/distinctions. The PPT’s are linked to the January 2024 paper which enables pupils to apply their knowledge to the exam questions from the very first learning aim. The booklet and PPT support the Jan 2024 paper; students will start researching, planning and answering exam questions before paper A is released in November. Students can transfer these skills to the November article, thus enabling them to complete paper B with more ease. I have provided a guide for each exam question and what students need to do to achieve higher marks. These have been created using the mark scheme and the examiner reports. Within the PPTs and booklets, in particular question 3 and 4, I have provided model answers. If you buy the resource, leave your email in the review box and I’ll be happy to provide further support and guidance.

The PPT contains all the information needed to deliver learning Aim C and has 84 pages which has taken me over 15hours to complete.
This resource is perfect for someone who is new to teaching unit 8, as I have added lots of examples to support each heading within the learning aim. A lot of the information has been applied to coronavirus. I have created the PPT this week so a lot of the information is really current too.
This resource will also prove useful to someone who has not got the time to type up all the information from the book as I have done this for you. As, well as this, I have provided a starting breakdown for the P6.
Although, there are not as many activities, there are so many points for discussion and I have really enjoyed creating this resource. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Topics include:
The role of health promoters
WHO National, regional and local health promoters
Approaches to supporting public health and well being
Monitoring the health status of the community, Identifying those most at risk, Tartgeted education, health awareness and health promotion
Socio-economic support to reduce inequality, Improving access to health and care services, co-ordinating national and local services, disease registration, statutory duties to notify certain communicable diseases
Approaches to protecting public health and well being and so much more.
I will be creating a breakdown soon of the whole assessment task which will be free to anyone who has downloaded this PPT. Just send me a message.
I know many people struggle with this unit, but I really do love this unit. So much to discuss and debate. I hope this brings you some ease.
Thank you for viewing.

The resource has been created to support the release of the November paper A, where recommendations and the purpose of research are based off this article. I used this PPT with my learners and after my guidance alongside the PPT, all learners felt confident to start question number 3.
