An introduction to the subject of humanities and why it is important to study.

Students look at accounts of child labour in the industrial revolution. Comes with hand outs.

A lesson on the powers they used to fuel their machinery in the industrial revolution. Students get into fives and do a give me five activity with the hand out.

Students look at the benefits of British Empire and the resources they was getting from different colonies. They fill in a graph on the colonies. Students then create a sales pitch trying to sell resources to Britain.

Introduction to the industrial revolution with written activities and a drama task. Thoroughly enjoyed by my year 7 students but perfect for all of KS3.

This quiz consists of three sections - Christmas Songs, Christmas Films and Christmas Related Stuff. I gave students 30 seconds to look at the emojis and try to guess what the answer is. The answers are at the end of each section. Great for form time and last day lessons for all key stages. Have fun!
