Stimuli based project, working creatively to develop skills in devising, ensemble, storytelling, and the application of performance skills learned in prior topics. Themes of displacement, asylum, Identity, prejudice, hope and journey will be explored and inspired by the poems: ‘We Refugees’ by Benjamin Zephaniah and ‘Still I Rise’ by Maya Angelou. Designed for a half-term (7 lessons). Includes PPT, SOW description, knowledge statement, knowledge organiser, lessons materials and resources. BONUS poetry PPT using the same themes. Can be applied to English or drama classes.
