This a revision mat to use to revise 1E- The Early Church (in Acts and the Apostles) for Eduqas A level RS, theology. This could be an independent research task or a guided revision resource.

The AO2 planner focuses on the following structure: point, analyse, criticse, evaluate and conclusion. *The boxes can be altered to suit your own acronym/structure. This is just a template.

A set of three revision handouts to support students revising 1A, 1B and 1C in A level Christianity (Eduqas). Each sub-theme (and handout) focuses on a different technique: 1A Jesus’ Birth- ‘Blurting Method’ 1B-Jesus’ Resurrection-Bullet Point Notes 1C-The Bible as A Source of Wisdom and Authority-Revision Cards Each handout guides students through using these techniques before they complete practice questions. These could be set as homework tasks or in class activities. The purpose is to show students how to revise the content using a variety of revision techniques.

This is an assesment used to assess knowledge for the Eduqas/WJEC A level-Compenent 1 Christianity. There are seven questions, all varied, that link to the assessment criteria used by the exam board. For example, one question asks students to form purposeful connections between scholars and therefore to describe how they link. Another asks students to explain why certain statements are weak, demonstrating AO2 skills. It is worth 50 marks overall and should take an hour to complete. A mark scheme is also included!

This resource guides students to create a revision resource as it focuses on a specific revision technique for each sub-theme (1A,B and C) for Eduqas A level Christianity. 1A- Jesus’ birth Narratives focuses on creating revision quides, with a specific focus on the Leitner Model. 1B-Jesus’ Resurrection focuses on the blurting method, getting students to recall and refine their knowledge. 1C- The Bible as a SOW and Authority in Daily Life focuses on verbal explanations of key concepts. All techniques are modelled, scaffolded, explained and accompanied with revision videos to support students’ revision.

Eduqas/WJEC A level Christianity Worksheet-for Theme 1B (Jesus-His Resurrection) To be printed on A4, students fill out the table after reading each passage to consolidate notes on death, soul, the afterlife and resurrected body. The activity has been designed to fit the specification detail for lesson 1B (Jesus-His Resurrection). After students have completed this activity, they summarise the theological beliefs on the resurrected soul; drawing links between the four topics and resurrection more broadly.

Eduqas/WJEC A level Christianity Worksheet-for Theme 1A (Jesus and His Birth) To be printed on A3, students fill out the timeline and table to show the similarities and differences between Matthew and Luke’s Gospel birth narratives. The activity has been designed to fit the specification detail for lesson 1A (Jesus and His Birth). After students have completed the timeline and table, I then get students to apply their findings to a practice question.
