<p>KS3 Baseline assessment for Design Technology.</p> <p>A comprehensive assessment broken into 4 sections; to determine student subject knowledge (based on KS2 NC), understanding of Health &amp; Safety, Measuring skills &amp; a small design task to determine accuracy drawing accurately the ability to read a specification and show creativity.</p> <p>The resources included;<br /> A editable Power Point (set to A3 size) for students to document their answers -in multiple choice format (also includes the original in pdf)<br /> A separate questions sheet for pupils to read the questions, which can be edited (with no need to edit answer sheet)<br /> A completed hand out sheet which document the answers to the questions provided.<br /> An editable 10 slide Power Point which gives instructions for delivery and also instructions for pupils to peer/self assess 3 of the 4 sections.<br /> *A slide is set up for teacher to add sizes for measuring task -as this will need to be determined based on the images size when printed -to allow for peer/self assessment.</p> <p>The subject knowledge questions have been created based on work completed with KS2 teachers to ensure successful delivery of the Design Technology in order to meet the needs of the National Curriculum, and using resources already published for pupils in y5/6 in science, geography and DT so should be appropriate to all y7 pupils.</p>
