Resources for a Year 1 lesson on finding half of an object
- Lesson plan about finding half, including guided group and independent work
- Fractions worksheet finding half of certain shapes
- LA differentiated worksheet finding doubles of butterflies
- HA differentiated extension finding halves of given numbers using interlocking cubes
This lesson worked really well for me - resources are accessible and give enough of a challenge for pupils. Use of interlocking cubes as concrete apparatus helps to secure understanding.
