Battle of Hastings lesson, print the Bayeux Tapestry sections on A3 paper for students to analyse what is happening, only when going through as a class reveal what is actually happening according to historians.
Students use counters and dice to make their way around the board, when they land on a 'star' card, they read it out to the group. In a table of 'catholics' and 'protestants' they can record which section believes in what the card explains.
