This is a poem I wrote for my class after a beautiful, productive and fun school year together. Feel free to adapt it to your own students and edit bits and pieces. It served its purpose with me - I wouldn't use it with others - I'd write another one instead.

This pack is aimed at clarifying the rules for reading big numbers and years. It contains 2 parts - a powerpoint presentation with rules and questions and a plain scheme for the correct names of some big numbers. It also talks about 'infinity' and correct ways to refer to years in decades (e.g.1950s). Teachers may turn this into competitive class quiz or adapt it to their lesson plan or just incorporate it into any topic, linked to numbers (Sports, Guinness Records, Historical Events, etc).

This is a list of original ideas to elaborate on. These are meant to activate students' imagination and provoke them to play with different realities. I, personally, used it for pair work, but depending on class size, you could split teams. The activity can be done in class, as a warmer, or as essay topics, or as homework. Kids love it and teachers do, too!

This is a presentation, containing images. The aim is to prompt students to write sentences about these pictures, using the 'too / enough' construction.<br /> For example: picture 1 - 'This car is too small for that lady'

This fun resource can be used in a variety of ways. It is my collection of mistranslations and misinterpretations across the world.<br /> Students can have a laugh, explain what's wrong with the sign / utterance and suggest proper formulations to replace the wrong ones. My students had a blast :)

This is a worksheet, devoted to the confusing use of 'All' and 'Whole' in the English language. It contains a few rules and a WHOLE lot of practice. Answers included.

The use of the singular 'they' is often confusing. Here is a simple way to introduce the concept and do some practice. The resource is interactive and could be linked to various topics or used independently as a grammar unit.

This presentation explains in a nice and clear way what Gerund is. In a few slides sprinkled with text, pictures and examples, students will have no difficulties in stripping down the scary outfit of the concept ' gerund' .

This resource employs the lyrics of a 90s song , as well as creative drawings to prompt students to use the 2nd Conditional. The refrain of the song uses the 2nd Conditional. Upon watching the video (or just listening to the music), students must be able to apply the 2nd Conditional to the pictures that follow in the next few slides. They invite creativity and imagination. There is no limitation as to the number of words they use - they might write a whole story for a chose picture or just write photo captions for each.
