iGCSE History - Kaiser Wilhelm II

(0)

This is the first lesson of my ‘Germany: Development of a Dictatorship’ unit. It covers the abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm II but with a little background on the 2 previous Kaisers and a (very simplified) discussion of the beginnings of the First World War.

This would be good for younger learners who are just starting out with iGCSE History.

Power Laws

This is a lesson designed for Year 9 (or any KS3 / GCSE revision) learning Power Laws for multiplying, dividing, power-to-power and negative powers. It also explains why any number to the power of 0 is 1.

Each law is explained with a detailed breakdown of “why” it works. There’s space on each slide for the teacher to add additional questions for practice.

It includes a 5 question revision starter and some questions for independent practice at the end.

Animations are currently on so that each line of explanation comes up at a click, but this may carry across the file transfer so please be aware you may need to change them.

Spanish - Flags Lesson

(0)

Lesson to consolidate colours and surrounding grammar rules for continuing Spanish learners. Introduces specialised vocabulary such as bandera, franja,

Assumes knowledge and use of “tiene”, “hay” and other basic sentence structures. Small translation tasks and questions to answer, plus a game of Connect 4 (to be either be played on the board or printed as sheets) at the end.

The focus is on description and colour, not on memorising which flag belongs to which country, though labels could be removed for that extra challenge.

Made for my Year 7-9 mixed age learners.
