<p>My classes love these:</p> <p>-I get relays printed in sets+laminated.</p> <p>-Pupils work in pairs,run out to my desk,get Q1,attempt to solve it+use a whiteboard pen to write the answer on the card.</p> <p>-They bring the answer to me.If it’s right, they get Q2. If not I might give them another shot.</p> <p>-repeat!</p> <p>They’re mainly number puzzles.Seasonal ones are perfect for keeping kids busy at the end of term.</p>

These are ideal for keeping pupils busy for a period on problem-solving and number-crunching. Why should our best S5 pupils not enjoy Higher Maths topics using a variety of activities? These worksheets form part of our series of lessons on Tolerance, Accuracy and Error in CfE Level 4. Here, pupils can practise Scientific Notation, learn about some algorithms used for error-checking credit cards/book details and tackle some problems which involve interesting rounding. Answers are included- hopefully they're all right!

This file includes all you need to make an awesome display on Graph Transformations, with a cool Transformers theme.Classifies moves in the y-directions by the baddies (Y-intercepticons) and x-direction by the goodies (AutoboX).Includes graphs you can use but I prefer to have students generate the examples. I have used these two files to help jazz up the entry to my Maths classroom. One is a sort of space-ship themed Maths Zone. The other is gangster themed one 'entry only for members of the Mathia'! Eye-catching, create a real buzz as pupils arrive at class!

<p>Grange Academy had our first Maths Camp in March 2015. After sharing lots of the action on Twitter (#GrangeMathsCamp) I was asked a few times for more information about what the programme looked like, where we went, the costs involved and the unique extras we provided. It was a brilliant weekend of fun and revision with over 60 Higher and Advanced Higher pupils and it’s continued to grow so that we now take over 100 on our Maths Camp. A revision tool for Scottish students sitting the SQA's National 5 Maths qualification.<br /> <br /> Ten homework exercises where each question focusses on the same type of skill each time (for example question 11 will always be on simultaneous equations and question 12 will always be on vectors).
