This is a quick sentence builder to allow students to discuss what they did/ have done in the (Christmas) holidays. It is designed to be a 10-15 min activities which requires input from the teacher. Ideally, students will have some experience of the past/ perfect tense before they see this. I would suggest a little bit of modelling to begin with i.e. take them through the sentence forms which go form left to right. You could use mini white boards to build up, practise and reinforce the sentences. I will be using this with Y9,10, 11 I hope this is useful to my fellow German teachers.
