I’m teaching the AQA syllabus and have formatted these so they can be used as and when. THEY TOOK HOURS!!! Some individuals are on two different cards; I&‘ve also added some extra reference points (websites, AQA text book references) on the teachers&’; notes area below each slide.

Please note: this set is only Public Health. I have the full set on the premium uploads, with the same formatting.

I have printed them on A4 for lamination; also smaller for students to take home, and as a timeline. I’ve also created a more simplified version for revision and higher up wall display.

Enjoy!! And please comment!

Supply teacher daily checklist, class feedback form and some useful websites

This is a three page document drawn up from my own needs. I've tried to price it fairly - it should be something you can adapt. It should save you some time and maybe even some stress.

The first page is a simple but thorough checklist to ensure I have all the information I need for a successful day (I've left off the lesson content, which I tackle anyway). I've not currently added any icons but that's the way I wanted it, really straightforward. It's a standard checklist.

The second page has some useful websites and last minute ideas for activities (mainly primary but could easily be adapted).

The the third page is a feedback form to leave for the class teacher. You might find you want to move the sizing around or change some of the categories. Maybe you want to reduce it onto A5 instead of A4?

There 's also a checklist for use when leaving the house at the beginning of the day and the classroom at the end, so you don't end up losing your favourite hat/water bottle/etc... I have this laminated on the back of my DBS folder, and on the back of my phone, which you might want to consider too - you can always reduce the typeface?

They are in .docx format so can be manipulated and amended to help you.

Good luck and happy supplying. Hope they help! Please email with feedback or leave me some lovely stars...

This is the glossary from the AQA Med Through Time GCSE text book in key vocab form, plus some extras. You can fold each word back onto its answer, then laminate and use to test, guess, revise, order etc. It's on A4. There are 13 pages and some extra boxes at the bottom.

They are deliberately clear with very limited illustrations, in Comic Sans (though obv you can change the typeface), in alphabetical order. Students can illustrate by hand or using clipart to consolidate.

They are all the same size so can be stacked, sent home in sections, etc. Great for visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learners.

If you make multiple sets it will be best to colour code them - eg a felt tip pen line in blue down all the cards from one set, and red for another. That way each student can have their own set.

Great for really reminding of key terms, defining, learning, clarifying, etc. Enjoy!

This is a full set of slides in PowerPoint which can be printed smaller and laminated, or kept at full A4. They outline the key individuals from all three areas in the Medicine Through Time syllabus. I taught AQA when it was a fuller option but these are highly relevant for all the new key individuals on the newer specifications, across the boards.

As you can see from the example, there are key aspects included - the dates, the main achievements and the factors involved in the individual’s degree of influence.

One of the sets (Public Health) is available for free (see my other resources) but this is a comprehensive set and should save you a lot of time and effort. I’ve classified the three sets differently so all bases are covered in the search engine, but they are all ppt and all in the same format - with some colour coding.

The slides can be used for games, for students to test each other, and for general VAK learning and recall. Obviously as it’s in ppt you can also add your own.

Behaviour Management for Supply Teachers - INSET and follow up links

This is a ppt presentation I did for a major London supply agency on Behaviour Management. It took around 1.5 hours to deliver. Using a range of bullet points, downloadable materials and Youtube film clips (some humorous!) it covers:

* Some definitions
*Main principles of the Psychology of Learning
*Introduction to a new class
*Classroom management strategies
*Engaging students to minimise disruption
*Outstanding practise under OFSTED

It can be looked at independently or as part of a group and gives lots of follow up ideas. Hope you find it handy - please feel free to review this resource!
