<p>An introduction to Olympic sports that can be used for TEFL or younger English learners, especially ESL learners. This resource uses the official Olympics site (link provided). There are some sports vocabulary games and activities based on pictures. Suitable for small classes and individual tuition. The Powerpoint can be used as a stand-alone lesson or as part of a bundle of 4 lessons that follow on from each other.<br /> Activities include: Identifying Olympic sports from an image, an introduction to equipment used to play different sports, taboo, a discussion activity regarding which sports should be included in the Olympics.<br /> All resources have been planned with the purpose of using them at an intensive English course for students of different nationalities.</p>

<p>This is lesson 2 on the 2024 Olympic Games. This lesson is designed for use for TEFL classes, ESL and individual tuition. All resources have been created for a course that I will be teaching at and make use of the official Olympics site and my own resources. This lesson looks at symbols at the Olympics, including the rings, torch, logo, mascots, etc… Activities include: Running dictation, guess the sport, and lots of responses to visual stimuli. Focus then moves to the Olympic Pictograms, where students work out which sport is represented.</p>
