-ey words - (/i:/ sound spelt -ey)

This resource contains a fully editable, 55-slide PowerPoint lesson on words ending in -ey with the long ‘e’ /i:/ sound. Words include journey, money, monkey, honey, jockey, abbey… It also explains that the plural of -ey words are formed by just adding the letter ‘s’. The PowerPoint also contains a section where the pupils have to try and guess the word ending in -ey from the clues given and then spell the word correctly.
