Environmental issues such as climate change, decreasing biodiversity, habitat destruction and pollution are huge global issues, however the thought of teaching them can be intimidating, leaving many feeling overwhelmed. Our Tool Kits provide a comprehensive, cost effective and easy solution for educators. They offer hours of activities, news and information that gently explains key issues and links to the National Curriculum.

Here’s what’s inside:

There is an eco hero manifesto poster to pin to your wall and an award chart to track your progress in being a little more eco friendly around the home. Our easy banana bread recipe uses up those squishy brown bananas to help reduce food waste and our eco hero card features someone who has possibly done more to raise our awareness of the environment than anyone else in history; Sir David Attenborough. Our I Spy card gets you outside playing eco bingo, plus you’ll find a postcard to help you start a campaign to get everyone loving our planet. There’s a rhyme card, a quiz to test your knowledge, a pledge card and 20 facts about our changing world to wow your friends. There’s also 2 activity cards packed with eight fun puzzles so you can start becoming an eco hero immediately!

Activities include making a megaphone so you can tell everyone to save our planet, getting messy and making our own recycled paper as well as building a bee hotel. There’s also a cool experiment to help understand what happens when sea ice melts and sea levels rise.

There’s also a little something for grown-ups inside to help you talk to your children about our changing world, as well as a useful glossary.
