This is a Powerpoint presentation of 9 slides and is no.08 in a series of 60-minute lessons used by me to tutor a GCSE student via Zoom. The focus of each lesson is grammatical, rather than topic specific, and as such they can be slotted into topic work as required. In addition, each lesson attempts to extend the use of German to match the requirements of GCSE Higher Tier.
This presentation revises (or introduces) the imperfect tense with both weak and strong verbs. Along with grammatical explanations there is a gap-fill exercise, a slide for Kim’s game, one for re-writing a present-tense text in the imperfect and a tense mapping exercise for completion with the aid of verb tables.
