A creative way to decorate your room for 100th Day of School with this Metal Inset themed lantern craft. Play “Follow the Directions” game as your kiddos practice their listening and fine motor skills. Cover both Metal Inset lessons and 100th Day with one great craft.

I use this craft to help review the shapes and practice fine motor control. I like to use pencil crayons to get very fine lines drawn inside each inset. My kids love the challenge.

These units are designed in a Mix and Match format. You are able to pick the pieces that you want, depending on the needs and the abilities of your students. There are so many different possibilities.

Each lantern creation is designed with a printed lantern template and the choice of several 100 Day themed trims. This is a great activity to keep the kids busy while practicing fine motor skills, coloring, folding, gluing and especially cutting.

So many ways to decorate the lantern trims using glitter, paper layering, leaves, fake snow, shredded paper, cotton, tissue paper, foam shapes...
