15. German: comparative and superlative adjectives (+adverbs)

This is a Powerpoint presentation of 10 slides and is no.15 in a series of 60-minute lessons used by me to tutor a GCSE student via Zoom. The focus of each lesson is grammatical, rather than topic specific, and as such they can be slotted into topic work as required. In addition, each lesson attempts to extend the use of German to match the requirements of GCSE Higher Tier.

After a quick revision of adjective ending, this presentation introduces and practises comparative and superlative adjectives via Tic Tac Toe and translation sentences, before looking at other structures (just as big as, smaller than …) and then comparative and superlative adverbs such as ‘gern-lieber-am liebsten’.
