The scheme works through A Christmas Carol with various comprehension, vocabulary and analysis tasks along the way.
The scheme builds essay writing skills slowly, with plenty of structured talk time and mindmapping. It tracks the transformation of Scrooge, assesses the role of the spirits and introduces relevant context.
Vocabulary tasks are dual-coded to aid vocabulary acquisition and support EAL students. Also, it has been designed to reduce cognitive load and to be ‘dyslexia friendly’.

Honestly, there are some fab ideas here but the resources are definitely not worth £20. I basically took a risk buying this because the author didn't show any previews of the lessons. Essentially without a guide, I took the plunge hoping for the best. However, I was disappointed to find that there were some resources needed, i.e. the quote cards mentioned and modelled on the lesson plan but these were not actually included in the folder which left me wondering if I am required to create these myself. Which slide please? I cannot find it.
