A Life on Our Planet Weeks 1 and 2

Based on David Attenborough’s ‘A Life on Our Planet’ I am creating a full English unit based on this programme on Netflix.

Start off by showing your class the documentary. Before the documentary do a KWL grid to see what they know already. We also did a cover page in our books to start the unit.

This is a 2 week module on writing an information text about an endangered animal. It includes:
A Powerpoint to cover the two weeks
Example texts
Where to find grammar starters
Success criteria and learning challenges
Vocabulary list for the whole unit

There will be a further 6 weeks of work to follow this module.
