A range of simple independent writing activities (Big Writes) - Ready to Use!!

This file contains 10 simple independent writing lessons on Smart Notebook files. They comprise a range of genres including newspapers, letter writing, discussion text, biography, narrative, persuasive writing & setting description. There are a series of warm up/ sentence structure activities for each lesson and including writing time are fully planned/ prepped for between 1hr and 1hr 15minutes each! I combine these with a simple planning sheet to help my pupils organise their ideas and usually scaffold the children by allowing them to do this in HA-LA pairs where possible.
