Aids to statutory interpretation 60 min lesson

Teacher resources for a 60 minute lesson on the internal and external aids to statutory interpretation. Contains a powerpoint and two acitvity tables. One is a gap fill on the internal aids of statutory interpretation. One is a mathcing activity on external aids. Suitable for courses at level 3 including A level law, Access to HE and business law modules . There is a student copy and teacher copy of the tables with answers. The table is designed to accompany the Youtube clips on the topic created by e-lawresources.co.uk and students will need to watch the video to complete the table. The 5 question starter on the power point relates to the purposive approach to statutory. This can be changed if you have not yet studied this topic. The lesson should take approx 60 mins. There are suggested timings in the powerpoint at the end of the slide. In addition to the starter, there are 3 tasks and a plenary. There are links to further activities should you get time or have a longer lesson to fill. Alternatively you could direct students to these to complete in their own time.
