9 lessons and one assessment lesson (could then also do a FIT to make it 11 lessons in total)
All lessons focus on an 'Amazing Place' but have an undertone of either hazards (first 2 lessons) or tourism and conservation (last 6 lessons). They all aim in inspire and help pupils to wonder about the world around them using tourist attractions. The lessons have a map in so pupils familise themselves with maps and the first lesson focuses on atlas work. I have attached my original plan which sounds you the order of the lessons. There is also an oppertunity to expand the scheme of work into other tourist destinations such as the great wall of China. Shown on the unit of work. If you live close by to Stonehenge it could also be a great opportunity for a field visit, the Stonehenge website also has a virtual tour. Any questions please message me.
