American West Lesson 5 the Settlers-Oregon Trail and Donner Party

My dear Reader,

This lesson is the second part of a unit of American West on the settlers; It looks at theOregon Trailand the Donner Party. It aims to have students matching general knowledge on the Plain Indians and looking at a GCSE question.

All lessons have a same-model structure to get the students taught in a coherent manner, and always understand where they are at in their learning:
First slide- understanding the Oregon Trails
Second slide understanding the dangers and understanding the difficulties encountered by the Donner Party
Third slide answering an exam style question on dangers of the Trail to the West
This work should be ideal for a secondary class and is already set as slide show presentation. All tasks are assessed.
An extension task is completed.
