Ancient Egypt Art planning and resources for each lesson. This is suitable for years 3 or 4 although could be adapted for lower/higher year groups. The lessons are based on self-portraits in the style of the Ancient Egyptians. The unit begins with children exploring Ancient Egyptian portraits and comparing to modern day, then practising Ancient Egyptian self-portraits before creating a final piece and then adding colour/decoration.
