Apple Number Match-Ups

Apple Number Match-Ups is a fun way to practice Number Sense with your students at the beginning of the year.  It also makes a great review all through the year.

Practicing Number Sense all year will help ensure your students have a firm grasp on this subject.  Number Sense is the ability to see groups of numbers, understand their relationship to one another, and use that information to solve mathematical problems (specifically mental math).  It is a vital skill for success in higher level math.

❉Use:
   •You can start with numbers 1-5, 1-10, or go 
     all the way up the 20!  It depends on the 
     needs of your students.
    •You can print more than one set and 
      differentiate for different groups or
      individual students.  
    •There are 7 ways each number must be
      identified:
               ➊ written form
               ➋ tally mark
               ➌ domino
               ➍ fingers
               ➎ dot card
               ➏ ten frame
               ➐ dots
