A 15-20 minute activity getting students to plan an answer to section A and B of both Literature papers.
For paper 1, students are given a guide of where the extract is from and a quotation they could use. For the poetry section, students are given a question and 5 suggested linking poems.
They must include quotations and points to create a plan for each answer.
Three exams given here as a Word document which can be edited. The texts given are Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, Never Let Me Go and Power and Conflict poetry.
Test 1: Macbeth powerful / Scrooge responsibility / Tommy or Creativity / Charge of the Light Brigade.
Test 2: Lady Macbeth manipulative / Theme: morality / Guardians or Love / Checking Out Me History
Test 3: Theme: death / Theme: Isolation and loneliness / Ruth or Science / War Photographer
EDIT: I've now also added the sheet I will use to get students to record their totals each week.
