This lesson is designed to last for 50-60 minutes and is resourced with videos, extension questioning, deep thinking and uses graphs/images to aid learning.

This lesson follows the Oxford KS3 curriculum and looks at the arctic tundra’s climate, what it is like and some keywords associated with it such as permafrost. Students also explore why this biome is important and not to be overlooked such as its usefulness as a carbon sink, habitat for unique animals and how it also helps regulate our atmosphere.

This lesson includes a starter, lesson objective, plenary and various student led activities.
